Over the past few years, my husband and I have been searching for a restaurant that will give us a profound taste of Asian delicacies. Soon enough, we found ourselves sitting in one of the Asian restaurants in the U.A.E.
P. F. Chang’s was founded by Paul Fleming and Philip Chiang in Arizona in the year 1993. In 2013, P.F. Chang’s opened its first restaurant in the capital of UAE located at the World Trade Center Mall.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a hostess and saw two life-sized horses in the entrance which depict the history of the warriors in 209-210 BC. Each horse is a replica of the terracotta warriors that were buried in the battlefield with the first Qin Emperor of China. Each horse stands approximately 11 foot tall.
We arrived on lunch time so, there are only quite a few customers which mean all the attention are given to us. Servers are nice and attentive. Managers are also very welcoming.
We ordered only a few meals, which means there’s a lot more reason to come back for us. Below is the list of foods we’ve ordered:
WOK-SEARED MUSHROOM – it is a combination of shitake and white mushrooms sauteed in butter with a drizzle of lemon. This dish is for vegetarians or for people who are on a strict diet as it does not include meat. I loved how they cooked this dish and it was very satisfying to eat.
DRAGON ROLL – a fusion of fiery and flavorsome. Combinations of spicy tuna mix, serrano peppers, cucumbers, and avocado slices make up this roll.
CALIFORNIA ROLL – includes sushi rice, toasted sesame seeds, kanikama mix, cucumber, and avocado.
CRUNCHY EBI ROLL – a combination of shrimp tempura, cucumber, and toasted sesame seeds, along with their secret recipe of dynamite sauce.
All their maki and sushi are served with wasabi and pickled ginger.
They have two locations in Abu Dhabi which are located in World Trade Center and Abu Dhabi Mall. They also have some branches in Dubai.
