Al Diar Mina Hotel, Abu Dhabi | Hotel Review

Who would love to do a staycation just for a day? — us! So we decided to check some hotels in town just a few minutes away from hubby’s apartment.

Right across the next block from his home, we found the perfect spot — Al Diar Mina Hotel. It is situated in Tourist Club Area (the area is called such because it is where a lot of travelers stay when they are in town) in Abu Dhabi. It was late night when we arrived. From the reception and checking process, it was easy-peasy (a good thing!). The staff were friendly and very welcoming (this is how every staff should treat their guests — you need to give them a reason to return to your hotel).

The staycation is what we really needed to have a short break from the busy and stressful works we had. I thought we will be just having the normal hotel room but I was wrong! We were given this huge apartment-hotel that has complete amenities such as big fridge, kitchen utensils (spoon, fork, and knives), kettle, and a stove.

Rooms in Al Diar Mina are big enough to accommodate 5 people. It is a hotel-apartment type with the service of a normal hotel. It was nice to just jump off and do some pillow fight because their bed was so comfy and fluffy.

As soon as we glanced around the room, we were amazed at the cleanliness and spaciousness of the living room and bedroom. It also has a personal writing desk to do your stuff as well.

They offer breakfast but we weren’t able to try it as we were running out of time the next day. They also do laundry and have 24/7 reception to assist you with your daily needs.

The only problem we encountered is that you need to pay 5 DHS for an extra dental kit but rest assured, the other bathroom stuff is included in the hotel room.

As far as I know, they also offer some tours around the city and some exciting activities that Abu Dhabi has to offer from Yas Island, Ferrari World, and the Desert Safari.
