Beating the Heat at Wild Wadi Waterpark, Dubai

Ever wondered how is it to be in a life of an OFW? Well, it is really hard but we are actually making ourselves busy by going out and having some fun. Living outside your own country and battling the homesickness is stressful, thanks to some parks, water parks and other outdoor activities we can go to.

Here in the United Arab Emirates, there’s a lot of water parks that everyone can go to unless it is just near you. To name a few, there’s Wild Wadi and Aquaventure in Dubai, Dreamland Aqua Park in Um Al Quwain, Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi and a lot more.

Wild Wadi is owned and managed by Jumeirah Group of Companies, which owns a lot of luxury hotel across the Middle East. Wild Wadi is an outdoor water park which offers around 17 water slides for you and your family. If you are really a thrill or adventure seeker then definitely this one is for you!

How To Get There:

Going to Wild Wadi is easy. Just take your bags and grab your nol card and off you go.

1. Through TAXI if you are rich enough.
2. By Bus, there is an 81 and 88 bus stop near the premises.
3. By Metro and Bus if you are coming from far away. Just stop at Mall of the Emirates Metro Station and go down at the Bus Station then take the 81 bus and stop at Burj Al Arab bus stop.

As of this writing, the entrance fee for the water park is DHS 275.00. Also, check their website from time to time for they will offer discounts to UAE Residents. Moving on, after paying the desired amount the cashier hand over us our wristbands that will be connected to our locker. We also opted to buy the unlimited drinks for only DHS 75.00

Note: If you want to avail the locker they have different sizes and prices vary on the sizes.

Small – DHS 45.00
Medium – DHS 75.00
Large – DHS 150.00

We went to the washroom to change clothes first and refilled our glass with water. So off we go to find a place to put our bags and our towels and to start our adventure and try “hopefully” all the amazing slides.

So first we tried the Juha’s Journey which is applicable for everyone, but children must be supervised by the parents. It is a 360-metre long ride, and it is just a lazy one if you just wanted the relaxing journey. The next thing we know is that we are already relaxing in their wave pool and just took the moment to take a deep. After the relaxing moment, we tried their Tantrum Alley, Burj Surj, and Master Blasters.

You may also opt to try their Jumeirah Sceirah which is a 120-metre long slide with the speed of 80km/h but before setting your foot on the tube that will bring you down, you need to climb the 32-metres tower. So my word of advice, please make up your mind but if you went here for adventure then this ride is for you. Enjoy the pictures below.
